Campaign reporters achieve top score on Whack-a-Mole

The fact that Rick Santorum is getting headlines as a “challenger” for the nomination is proof positive that the political press a) can’t recognize a pattern, b) have an obligation to deadline that trumps an obligation to rationality, and c) shouldn’t be permanently assigned to the campaign trail. He’s a Kucinich in every way that matters to political reporters (which means he’s nothing like Kucinich, but more importantly, nothing like a centrist).

If I were a non-Romney non-Paul Republican who believed what the press told me, I’d be kicking the tires on College Republican treasurers.
